Why I ask for tips
Hi, I'm Michael. Thank you for being here. I build and run handsofflinks on my own. I registered the domain on 31 July 2026. The site is built around a ledger of 413 links I placed on 16 of my own sites between 25 June and 31 July. Since then I have added 5 free browser tools and 15 guides on how backlinks get crawled and indexed.
What it costs
| Item | Per year |
|---|---|
| Domain renewal, handsofflinks.com (Porkbun list price) | $11.08 |
| Hosting (GitHub Pages) | $0 |
| Paid APIs | none |
GitHub Pages hosts the site for free. I pay for the domain each year, and I spend my own hours checking every claim against Google's documentation and the ledger. The site loads Google Analytics. I sold a backlink pipeline here until 8 October 2026, and I link to ToolsThatRank, a paid product of mine. A tip is separate from both.
Where a tip goes
- The domain renewal. It costs about $11 a year, so a $5 tip covers about five months of it.
- Time to keep the browser tools working as Search Console and Google's documentation change.
- Time to re-check each guide against the ledger and Google's own pages.
Tips unlock nothing, and everyone gets the same tools and guides.
Pick an amount on PayPal:
PayPal shows my legal name, MichaĆ Lip. Buy Me a Coffee takes a card without an account.
Prefer monthly? On Buy Me a Coffee you can tick "Make this monthly". You can cancel at any time.
The use count on this site stays in your browser. I never see it.
This is a tip, not a purchase. You get nothing extra, and you owe nothing. The tools and guides stay free either way.
Thank you for reading this far. Michael
